I have just replaced all the lights in my house. Most were already CFL's and I found they burn out way too often. The energy savings by changing CFL to LED isn't very much and the LED's cost quite a lot.
However, my electrician told me the CFL's have a habit of causing fires, especially in recessed fixtures, so that was my main motivation.
If you use a dimmer your light has to be the type that works on one, not a general purpose light.
