I haven't found a need to unload while camping yet, but I've only had it 7 years. :) My truck is still plenty manueverable with the camper on. Besides, I'm not sure how I'd get the camper home if the truck was stuck/disabled without the camper.
Loading/unloading isn't that scary for me, but I can't say if it would be for you or not. I think the bigger concern is taking it off and having a jack die on your or otherwise breaking a mount miles away from anything. I would imagine the dually bracket would be a little less stable since the jack is farther away from the camper, but most here with DRWs don't seem to have any issues with it.
Another reason to consider a TC is the overhang is much less for many TCs compared to most class Cs. That's helpful when you are pulling off the road, turning around, etc.
