They have not raced against each other A Stock Toyota Landcruiser, beat the Raptor. In fact many other stock vehicles have. The Raptor ran in a slightly modified class.
Ford has dropped the Raptor completely from the Dakar is throwing it's efforts behind the Ford Ranger . Ranger now runs in the highly modified outright class, that it is why it is running a highly modified 5litre V8. Other outright contenders use highly modified 3 Litre Diesels. Diesel powered " Mini's" have won the Rally Race outright.
Robby Gordon has a " Hummer" that has a 600hp V8. He has been trying for 10yrs to try and win.
People here are adverse to racing a Pickup in any shape or form, a sporting Pickup sounds like a contradiction in terms. Raced Car/Truck Utes, here but not Pickups.
As a Rally vehicle a Pickup is a different story .
