- benalbertExplorerEither or will work. I have a 6.8 and haul more as payload than your TT weighs with no problems. 7.5 to 9.5 MPG loaded which I think is not bad at all. I don't particularly care for the empty fuel mileage, but I am not going back to diesel for a while.

Depends... are we talking about a dedicated TV or a daily driver?
My v10 gets about 9-10 ish depending on my foot as a DD. (dually 2wd)
if the truck is a DD and a TV the best choice... IMHO.. is the 6.2
Thanks!
This would be a 80% tv. The wife and i are debating a year long tour of north america and doing aome early research on what migjt work for the amount of money we want to apend. - jerem0621Explorer IIDepends... are we talking about a dedicated TV or a daily driver?

Thanks! - iawoody2ExplorerMost all new class A motorhomes are using the v10.
- dbblsExplorerTorque equals towing power. The older V10 has more torque than the new 6.2.
- n7bsnExplorerAs I understand, the reason Ford dropped the V10 from the "light truck" line (F250/F350/F450) is because they are now included in the fleet-average-fuel economy and the 6.2 V8 is slightly more fuel efficient.
The V10 is still available in things like the chassis-cab frames though.
Ignoring fuel economy, there is an old saying "There is no replacement for displacement" - MvanderExplorerThis is a future decission. But i lean towards the 10 too.
- K_CharlesExplorerI like 6.8 better then 6.2 if you have to go gas
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
My Class C has a v-10 and weighs 14,000 loaded. I don't have any problems, but I do drive slower than most folks. - MvanderExplorerSame configuration.
