value of a 17' Jayco Kiwi 2001

Hi!
What is the value of a 17' Jayco Kiwi 2001? I am not sure how to go about getting this information. When I go to NADA they want all kinds of info I don't have. What do you think would be a fair price? There is one for sale near me that I am interested in but I think they are asking too much. $6,700.
Thoughts?
Julie
  • Julie, what many don't realize is that you are in California and hybrids fetch much higher prices than other parts of the country.
this was a big reason we gave up buying a used one out here and bought a new one from a Midwest dealer.
saved us over $4000, even after trip costs.

heck, even new hybrids fetch MSRP prices out here because dealers know they have customers over a barrel, since most won't make the type of trip we did, to save money.

so, even though it's an old hybrid, good used hybrids are rare out here, therefore they can charge whatever they want and will probably find someone willing to pay that, since a new one would cost over $20k.
  • Too much: About a year ago we bought a 2009 21' Amerilite. It had only been used 6 times, with brand new tires and battery. Like new condition for $6800
  • NADA says $3,000 MAX for a 2001 Jayco Kiwi 17' with the average equipment. (awning, A/C, Furnace, Radio, No Television, Average wear & tear)
  • $6,700 is way to much for a 13 year old camper, You can get a NEW 21' Coleman camper for $10,000
