ok were heading to florida for couple weeks this july. we have an extended cab f350 and fifthwheel. not really looking forward to ride down with wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs in the cab. strangely im thin...

What kind of diesel Chevy van? Older 6.5? Newer DuraMax? Brand new baby DuraMax?
Just beware the diesel vans are detuned from their pickup counterparts, and the DuraMax vans get a pretty substantial reduction in Combined Weight Ratings. The newest 250 HP 6.6L DuraMax vans (2015) were rated at 17,000 pounds combined. The new 2017 DuraMax vans have almost the same combined weight rating, but are down to 180 horsepower, since they shrank it to the 2.8L. Gonna be some SLOW going with a full profile trailer behind that motor....
