Vision 81A 19.5 wheels

After reading many posts about Rickson wheels and not getting any replies from them I decided to get some Vision wheels at a local shop. Upon doing research I found these http://www.visionwheel.com/wheel/6854/vision-hd-trucktrailer-81a-heavy-hauler in matte black. Over the years I have not had good luck with aftermarket alum. or chrome wheels so these looked pretty good to me.Any thoughts?

  • I have had the clear coated Heavy Haulers and matte black Outback rims from Vision. Both finishes wear well.
  • I have about 10,000 miles on my Vision rims all with the TC on and over 2000, with the TC on and towing a 7000 pound horse trailer with no issues so far

    from today
  • I've got the black matte finish ones and very happy with them. They only have 14,000 miles on them and still look new as they should. I think the black finish makes the tire and wheel look bigger than the clear coat aluminum because there is so much black showing. Gerry
  • I also have the aluminum clear coat finish Vision 81’s. It’s a great wheel in my opinion, well made and very heavy duty. A little soap and water and they look like new.
  • I think the clear coat wheels in your link is the same Vision wheels most TC'ers have posted. I have been running mine for about nine years, with absolutely no problem. I am pleasantly surprised the clear coat is still an very good shape.

I bought mine at Les Schwab Tires.
