local authorities passed ordinances banning overnight RV parking at the ""urging of commercial RV park owners.""
This is just becoming a myth proliferated as it goes on. I have NEVER seen anything in print that a local CG, not to mention one in every single state, has come forward to town officials and complained that RV's parking at Walmart was taking away their business. And it would be in print in the minutes of any town meeting. :R
Really just think about it for gods sake. When was the last time you went to a CG and there were so many sites open because they were all parking at a Walmart. :R:R
It is Walmart themselves and the local town people who live in the area and shop there that do not want to see people 'living' in their RV's pan handling, rolling meth labs and the like. AND the RV'er who chooses to stay/hunker down in a Walmart parking lot for days instead of paying for a CG. Therefore appearing to be one of the aforementioned adding to the problem.
I will bet it is Walmart tired of long term jerks and trash and not the CG owners.
