X2 how do they come up with $3,000 for a pair of mirrors. Even if you assume a $150 per hr labor for four hours, and $1,200 each for the mirrors that is crazy!!!
I find it strange that both motors would fail at the same time, some control module would make more sense.
Well a little search on the Official Ford Parts site list the price of the Mirrors at $473.67! So now we have over $2,000 in labor, no wonder it was denied!!! :S
List is over $1k for power everything an heated. So if he needed both you are looking at $2-$2.5k without labor. But if you were to have an older truck in the future you could conceivably total your truck by just taking the mirrors out in a close call.
