washing the TT today

Man is this thang dirty!! We have only had it out once in the early spring and I think we are taking it out next weekend. I washed it 10 or 12 times last, every time we went camping it was washed prior to the trip.I have green water running down the sides of the TT lol. I need to wax it but I will have to get some help for that. I am soooo ready to go camping its been way to long. Will

  • That's how my neighbor does his mobile business. He got a large plastic container and put it on a small flatbed. Hooked an rv water pump to it and an on/off switch. Works well but water is tight. It took half his supply to wash my truck. Not sure how big the container is but I would guess 30-40 gal. The fitting for the outside shower is a good suggestion and one we debated but when we moved we were able to bring the tt home for short periods.

I thought about that. :) I guess the challenge is getting a large enough water container.

What about your on board water tank and pump? Do you have an outside shower? Put a fitting on it. If not, you can buy a fitting for your kitchen sink and hook up a hose. You'll need to be frugal with the water but it beats wet rags!!

Just got back from bringing my new RV home over 840 miles. All kinds of bugs on the front with no way to wash it myself. Too big for the sloped driveway in my subdivision and no washing capability at my storage facility. :(

get yourself a portable water container and a water pump/battery. Hook it up to a hose and you have a portable system to wash your trailer.

  • Washed and waxed my tt yesterday. Until you take the first swipe you don't realize how dirty it is when the dirt uniformly covers the unit.
  • maguires spray on wax is nice and easy. spray it on, wipe it off. if you still need help, my neighbor details rv's and cars. your outside his service area but could bring it here..... there is room in the court to get it in and out. pm me if interested (or if you want pics of his work).
  • The trick is to thoroughly wash the roof first and then the walls. That way the crud from the roof won't end up on your walls a few days later!:)
