Wasp Nest Behind Fridge

Hmm, the access cover on the outside has 2 black tabs that look like a flat blade screwdriver might fit into but it doesn't look like you turn them. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to get the cover off. Thanks.

  • Yes, turn them 90 degrees. They do not unscrew so dont turn them like a screw. Then pull the cover out gently

Excellent, thank you for your help.
  • Got the cover off & lucky for me the nest is right there & the entrance is very accessible. Come on sundown!

    Good advice & absolutely!
  • After you get them out do yourself a favor and get a set of these bug screens for the fridge and then these screens for the furnace and water heater. In total they took about an hour to install and for the life of the trailer no more worrying about mud daubers or any other annoying thing getting into the burning parts of the RV.

Btw those might not be the exact item for your RV, there are a few sizes of each but they should get you a starting point.

Done. I ordered the ones for the fridge & will look into the others as well. Thanks.
  • Be careful of the black tabs for taking off the cover on the back of the fridge. If you break them, they cost about $10 each. I know from experience.

  • Thanks all! Job is complete & lesson has been learned. After 20+ of owning trailers I now know that if pests & rodents can, they will!
