Water check valve

The city water inlet has a check-valve on our class A coach which is now growling every time we turn the taps on. Has anyone had this problem?

The water inlet is easy to replace. The better ones are brass.
  • My check valve kept leaking when the pump was on. I found this valve at a local hardware store. It does exactly what I need and the cap still fits it.

  • Mine was growling also. Just replaced it with all brass unit from amazon. Now I have better pressure and no noise
  • I got rid of that cheap little check valve years ago and added a fitting with a manual shut-off. In fact, my water inlet has: shut-off fitting; pressure gauge; quick disconnect.

Only drawback is if the park water pressure fails I need to go out and manually shut the valve before turning on the pump. Otherwise works great and no more leakage when not connected.
