- All58ParksExplorerSounds like air in the pump is the most likely thing. Open a bunch of faucets while the pump is running, then close them and see if it shuts off.
- GonefshinExplorerYou should have cut offs on the pressure side of the pump. Cut the valve off on the pressure side and see if the pump builds up pressure and cuts off. If it does, you will have to work your way forward from there.
You can also adjust the tightness of the screws holding the pump sometimes to get it quieter. - HarvardExplorerPump could be sucking air. Do you have any pump inlet valves in the wrong position?
- towheadExplorerAre you getting water to a faucet? If not it could be that the pickup valve on the pump used to draw antifreeze into the system is still open. You can also use the hose on that side of the pump to test the pump head.
