- Roman_DuckExplorerVery simple to install, follow direction on packaging. The hardest part will be accessing the pump. Depending on its location.
- jfkmkExplorerDumb question....is it possible you already have a winterization kit? I have a couple of years old very entry trailer and it came from the factory with the kit installed.
- RoyFExplorerjfkmk: not a dumb question at all! I didn't know that my 2008 fifth-wheel came with a winterization kit until two years ago. I was thinking about installing one, looked under the kitchen sink, and there it was all the time. (I had been wondering what that "extra" piece of hose was good for.) Well, I'm willing to come out and admit it.
There is another "extra" piece of hose under my bathroom sink that leads to nowhere and is capped off. I don't want to highjack this thread, so I may post about that later. On a slow day next winter. - grampscamperExplorerMy 5th wheel came with a winterizing kit from the factory. It is in the convenience / docking station. I was unable to get it to work. Not sure what the problem was and the dealer is 2 hours from my house so I purchased a kit from a local dealer. I installed it in 1/2 hour. Very straightforward instructions came with it. Works perfectly.
- danagerExplorerI added one as well. If you can connect a hose to a faucet, you can install this kit.
When looking around, I noticed there are a few different kits. I opted for the one with the brass three-way valve. It was five bucks more than the similar kit with the plastic valve. - 7happycampersExplorerI added this kit to my rig when I bought it: Camco winterizing kit it took maybe 10 minutes to install it once I found my pump (it was buried under my fridge)
Kevin & Crew - hedgeExplorerI personally am not a fan of the brass fittings in the kits. Maybe those kits are better for older trailers but for any trailer plumbed with pex, all you really need is a valve and a piece of hose or pex. I prefer the Flair-it fittings and they are used on most new trailers.
- AirForceAnglerExplorerI just installed one similar to the Camco kit mentioned above. Usually the most difficult part is working in the confined space where the pump is. Take your time and don't cross-thread the fittings. Do a good leak check.

I appreciate your tip. However if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!! - AirForceAnglerExplorer

I don't think what he said was out of line at all. It's very possible someone purchased a trailer and didn't know it already may have had a kit on it. My Jayco came that way, but not my newest Grey Wolf.
