But, the heat output (and combustion byproducts) are pretty much identical.
But the scale of byproduct CO is much, much lower with the Wave 6 versus burning an open flame, and the efficiency is much higher. Hence the crack a window and crack a vent.
I would agree the CO is higher, though not much, much higher if the stove burner is working properly. The efficiency is about the same: no more heat is produced by catalytic combustion than open flame combustion.
