Anyone using a Curt Mfg. WD Hitch #17007 ?
Feedback much appreciated.
I know that Curt makes some quality stuff... Not sure if they actually make this one, or just slap their sticker on it.
Regardless, basic WD hitches are all pretty much the same so I would go for price..
That doesn't make them a bad choice though. They have been around seemingly forever and most everyone starts out with one.
And I think they should. Add friction control to it and go camping.
These hitches are pretty much foolproof. Even setup badly, they provide some benefit.
Later on as you gain experience, you may want to go in another direction. The integrated sway control hitches all have their strengths and weaknesses, but they all share one achilles heel.
Since the sway control is part of the weight distribution, then it is more important to get the setup right... This can be difficult, ,,,especially so if it is your first hitch, and it is why I don't recommend them for new people.
