- mbuttsExplorerMy father-in-law sheared the sway bar's hitch ball off when he got the TT at an extreme angle while backing. As TomG2 said, if you're confident you're not going to turn that far, it will be fine to leave it attached.
- TomG2ExplorerI have heard/seen that warning before. The only thing bad that could happen is with the extreme angles sometimes encountered when backing, a bar might come out of the friction pad or get stuck there and bent when straightening out. Do a simple test to see if you can duplicate that condition. Otherwise, join the majority of us who disregard that warning.
