Any well-engineered product has some safety margin built in and thirty pounds is not going to cause an immediate failure. Having said that, there are reasons for rating limits. As others have stated, if you do not want to stay under those limits, then you are less likely to be as happy with your tow as you might be. One battery more or less won't be the cause of any problems you may experience.
