We found our new trailer

After searching for months we finally found the trailer we wanted at the price we wanted. We got a new 2018 Aspen Trail 2880RKS. Patience pays off. We got it below the NADA low retail. I checked around 15 other dealers across the country with this exact model and I only found 1 listed with a lower price. And most of the ones with a higher price didn't have an electric tongue jack or a power awning where as ours did. We're so excited to get back to camping. The other thing I like about buying a left over besides the low price is it's been sitting in the lot for a while. If there's a leak anywhere you'll see it before you buy the trailer. I checked the walls, windows, floors, everywhere and no leaks at all. For being a lower end trailer I'm actually really impressed with the fit and finish of this trailer.
  • Do some short road trips the first few times to see how it tows. Make sure you add the weight to the trailer what you intend to when going on longer trips. Let us know how it goes!
  • a side note on the floorplan which is identical to floorplan i mentioned in our previous TT. depending on whether or not you will use the dinette booth much. you may be interested in this. i removed the dinette table from ours and turned the bench seat next to the couch against the wall. it fits perfect against other bench seat creating an L-shape sofa that my wife enjoyed sitting and laying on. gave us 2 couches and really opened the space up. just she and i on trips so if the weather wasn't nice enough to eat outside we had a couple of tv trays to use on inside. before we traded it in on our next TT i moved the bench back and reinstalled table to original setup.
