For those using a wire brush, doesn't that wear on the grate?
Are you supposed to use stainless or brass?
So far the ceramic coating is being nonstick enough, but we've had other home grills wear off eventually.
All good tips so far, keep them coming!
I've been using the cheap welder brushes for as long as I can remember. I have a Traeger pellet smoker with a ceramic coating on the grate and a Weber with the cast iron grates. Neither are damaged in any way with the brush. The key to the whole thing IMO is as soon as the you're done cooking grab the brush and scrap the grates. The grill is already hot and the food is still soft and comes off easier.
Cooking spray before anything goes on helps too. Just be careful of flame backs. I can't imagine how bad that would hurt if the can blew up in your hand.
