Me too, I don't do any more cleaning than that, but about once a year I drain the little grease pan.
One thing I do is clean the little holes out in the burner itself. First I wire brush the burner, which can plug the small holes, then I come back with a small pin and clean out the holes. I do this maybe every 2 years. My Q is 10 years old.
