1500-2000 lbs is a lot of weight. I think people generously over-estimate what their cargo weighs.
Edit: correction...one person has done this
Make this a second person - I've had my TT weighed and it gained 1,000+ over the mfg claimed dry weight. This is with 2 full propane tanks and a full fw tank.
In the same way our TT's bed and shower are big steps up from tent camping, we did similar with a lot of our other gear (especially cooking stuff since I work in a kitchen store).
Bottom line, it adds up.
