LOL. I was a little kid back in the 80's, but I remember Cal!
Those were some crazy commercials... but the man sold some cars!- fla-gypsyExplorerAn F-Series truck is self explanatory; for the GM guys that means it denotes any truck with an F-preceding the number

IMO these numbers are a bit incomplete/confusing. Given that the F-series is outselling the Tundra at a 7:1 pace I'm guessing it includes the HD F-series Fords as well? Or beyond? F450???
Dodge/Chevy/GMC I take it is similar.
And fwiw I drive a Chevy so I'm not trying stand up for my brand or anything. It just doesn't seem like apples to apples.
Ford throws in all of their F series models in on this count, F450, F550, etc.
GMC/Chevy only list Sierra and Silverado, it does not include the work truck line or other models.
It is a marketing gimmick to skew the numbers.
The GMC/Chevy is the Sierra and Silverado. It includes all lines of the vehicle with the Silverado/Sierra nameplate. Therefore, it would be all half, three-quarter and one ton vehicles.
There is a source for registration data that denotes the break-down of these.
Ford is not the only Manufacturer to group vehicles. Toyota only reports Corolla, and include the Matrix as Corolla. They also do not break out the different Prius. - gmc6000Explorer

How long is Nissan going to build a full size pickup? At some point they are going to have to raise the white flag.
If Fred Diaz is still on speaking terms with Macaronni, he maybe able to seal the deal to convert Nissan trucks to rebadged RAM's like originally planned.
If this happens then the Dodge boys....err RAM boys will be like the GM boys and want to consolidate the two brands as the total quantity units sold(i.e. Combine RAM and Nissan sales like Combining Chevy and GMC sales) and muddy the water! :B- ksssExplorerHow long is Nissan going to build a full size pickup? - dennisgt60ExplorerI too am glad truck sales are up.

Boy that brings back memories, but I think he passed a few years ago IIRC. Funny I can remember his ad's before color TV came out.
I guess his dog spot is also gone :(
One heck of a dealer although in the later years he sold many other brands and (clearing throat ) previously owned vehicles :B
