We also wanted a walk around queen bed and a u-shaped dinette. We have no real interest in boondocking, so being as compact as a TC was not a priority. OTOH, I originally wanted a TC because of the simplicity: no tires, no axles, no brakes. When my brother and I had sailboats, he was fond of saying, "Every boat is a compromise." ( His wife still says, "Every husband is a compromise.") I guess it applies to RVs, too. As I noted in my OP, we also had a class A MH at one time. We're happy with our choice.
