Very long story shorter, DH has some health issues that are causing the cartilage to deteriorate in his feet and legs. In additon, the shiny new hip is not allowing him the mobility we were hoping for. Getting older is not for sissies. Anyway, we have batted this around over the past few months and kept coming back to our beloved ROO. But thinking long term, we need to be out from a bit of extra work. Surprisingly, there are not just a ton of trailers out there inbetween the ROO and a mile long TT or 5er - which wasn't gonna happen. Then you get into the new truck, which also isn't gonna happen. So from time to time, I would just peruse the various trailers to see what might be right for us. I can tell you that before we bought the ROO, we saw a Surveyor 264 with a dynamite kitchen all the way across the rear and we always thought if and when. But time came to check more closely and the stinker is too heavy to give us enough cushion to keep DH happy. Just happened to go back to RVW website, where we got the ROO, and there it was. FINALLY got my greenish interior!!! There is a 2604WS with a large wardrobe on a second slide, which we neither needed nor wanted. Just the regular 2604 was perfect. Bedroom in front with nice storage, a to-die-for bathroom and a large living area and kitchen. Very open. So..... Anybody wanna buy an immaculate 23SS????? We've taken very good care of it and I anticipate a downpour of tears, but it's time to move on. We saved $11,000 off MSRP and then an additional $1000 summer sale, so we're very pleased with the financial part. If you're inclined to take a peek, it's a Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604 and is the top right of that section....Seagrass interior. After many years on this forum we feel like we know many of you personally and don't plan to stop visiting. DH says we're still "hybriders" at heart. Foxy is going to be most unhappy to lose her great view out the unzipped bunkends. Thanks all for the fun times and the lively discussions. We've learned a lot and hopefully helped newbies to learn. Before the ROO became a reality at our house, we learned a lot from both RVNet and HYX. Thanks for the memories. BTW, we pick up the 2604 on Tuesday the 14th at 11:00 and heading straight to Indian Lake to have a close look at what we've bought. DS will be holding down the fort and waiting to see what the excitement is all about.
