WH on elc or gas????

When we were seasonal we only had gas but we had a 275 gallon tank. If you just have standard tanks then I would use electric.

I realize it depends on the rates of each and they are different in all areas. I guess I should have just asked what everyone's preference is.. Thanks for your ideas.

I like the heat the water up in the AM and then again in the evening. That might work....

If I am running an electric heater or A/C I use propane. Otherwise electric.

Nobody can say for certain. Generally gas is a more efficient heater, but electric rates vary greatly depending on location. Gas varies as well, but I don't think so much as electric.

Many seasonal sites have a propane delivery truck that comes around and does refills.

Sometime back that was discussed in detail and, as I remember, there was more heat energy in $1.00 worth of electricity than there was in $1.00 in propane. Also, one never has to haul an electric bottle anywhere to get it filled up.

We use the electric feature, and only leave it on for a few Hrs in the AM, and a few Hrs in the pm. The water stays pretty hot throughout the day. If we want it hot quick, We use both features.
