I really enjoyed this thread. I recently bought my first camper and I have a 2010 F150 4.6L. My TT is a Heart land TR SLE 25 (4860LBS Dry)I have been getting some feedback for well intentioned friends that have caused me concern over the trucks ability to handle the load. This thread has really eased my mind. Thanks for sharing the information and the great pics.
No problem at all... your 4.6 F150 will handle your trailer just find. You will probably be around 6000 lbs loaded ish.
Thanks!

I have a 2013 f150 5.0L going to start hauling a 29ft springdale camper if the snow ever melts lol. Any idea what kind of Mpg I'll be looking at? It will be my first time hauling it.
I have a 2014 Sprinter 266RBS and my 2013 F-150 5.0 got 10mpg on a trip from Houston to Fredrickburg TX, just over 500 miles round trip and a little hilly west of Austin. - rhagfoExplorer III

Russ that's an awesome winter pic! How did you keep the lines from freezing? Sorry, I know that's off topic. Did you winterized before you pulled out?
I love in a rural community in Tennessee and when it snows our roads can look like that. Funny thing is that I usually go on into the office which is about 35 miles from home.... People that live 2 miles from the office will call in due to snow and I am like... Ok...!????
Snow is ok on the roads. I would and could pull in those conditions. If it's ICE then the game changes a bit. Chains are needed. Etc.
Great pics sir!

We were heading home from the Oregon Coast, temp dropped to about 30 degrees as we were leaving the CG, Just about an hour and a half home, about half the distance, in the snow. When we got home I drained the HW tank, put pink antifreeze in the lines (no longer, now I blow them)and took it to the yard. We try to get out once a month, even in the winter, I blow the lines several times a year.
I agree with your last statement! - rhagfoExplorer III

I believe the question is what are you towing with your F-150 5.4L not what or where you are not.
This is getting So Old!
Well actually is is titled "What are you towing with your F150?"
Mark5w, made a point of bringing up the TV in his signature, which looks real good sitting level while the 5er is sitting on the Landing Gear.
The point I was trying to make, is there are lots of F150, pulling loads within limits, with stock suspension, doing just fine tow like they should. Just as there are lots of 250/2500's and 350/350's doing the same.
Then there are those that say they are within limits, but need air bags, timbers, super springs, or some other suspension add on for the TV to feel stable, this also goes across all truck sizes.
Dadmomh posted "What is wrong with towing with the F150" the easy answer is NOTHING. They are rated to to a certain level, they should be able to tow that without suspension modifications. - chrisandmarcyrvExplorerI have a 2013 f150 5.0L going to start hauling a 29ft springdale camper if the snow ever melts lol. - facoryExplorerI use Michelin LT m/s and like them. Really hard to wear out.
- hitnderoadExplorerI pull a 2590 Keystone Passport with my 2010 F-150 5.4 with 6 speed tranny. Loaded my TT weighs in at 6200#. Three seasons now and pulls great, but don't like the P rated tires on truck for towing.
