The cable was pointing straight up from the shunt. No idea how that would appear to have been connected to the shunt.
That cable was what I had originally routed from the battery box to the large fuse, when I was thinking I'd mount the fuse next to the shunt. That's why there's the other red cable laying to the left of the shunt - that was the other cable for the fuse.
I am custom making my own battery cables and crimping them with this awesome crimp tool.
This is how I'm making my battery cables then I apply the appropriate color heat shrink.
