What do you tow with your 2011+ F150 HD 8200 GVWR?
For those of you who currently own, or have owned a 2011+ Ford F150 HD/Max Payload with the GVWR of 8200, what do you tow and how does it do for you? The reason I ask is for my own curiosity and to share with others what folks feel confident in towing with this setup. By confident I mean you have your family with you and can drive a long day and feel good about the rig. You are not worn out by the drive or sweating the next hill or turn. I make the assumption this means operating within the rated specs of the truck (axle weights, GVWR, GCVWR, hitch weight).
Trailer Type: Travel Trailer
Trailer length: 28'
Trailer loaded: 8000 (dry 6500, GVWR 10,000)
Tongue weight loaded: 1050
Hitch setup: Reese w/ dual cam sway control
Have pulled throughout the Pacific Northwest for a couple of years now and have been happy with the performance. EcoBoost 3.5L has performed very well and the integrated braking is terrific. Has been a stable platform.
So for other owners or former owners of this truck, can you share what you are towing and how it performs?
Appreciate your feedback,
Stu
