Had a 2007 Toyota Tundra and one of the rear bearings replaced at about the same mileage as yours. Believe it was a known issue. I used it as a daily driver and to haul a 2007 Hallmark Camper and a waverunner. The truck had an available payload of 1680 lbs per the Mfg sticker (not the one in the door that was for the tires!) A trip to the scales confirmed this available payload and even better the available payload increased to 1720 lbs when removing the 40 lb tailgate. Using Firestone ride rite airbags to control pitch angle and roll I always had a great experience and would still be driving that combo if needs had not changed.
I never did get a toyota person to explain the difference in available payload between the window sticker the door jamb sticker and available payload by scale measurement. I figured the door jamb sticker showed pressured for mfg approved tires so the ride would be comfortable.
I guess to answer your question a 3/4 ton is a name or label for a truck used for marketing it….consumer beware of actual ratings and capabilities!
