What is normal for 5.9 water temp?
I getting 145ish on dash temp gauge. I get 135ish with IR temp gun on water pump housing. I think it should be more? Thinking about it, I wonder if T-stat is open all the time would cause this or i...

What did the trans shop do? Anything to do with the cooler?
Local trans shop... I was afraid they messed something up, so I took it to shop that does a lot of small diesel turbo stuff, they put on their big $$$ scan tool and like my cheapie didn't show anything. Which is good.
Local shop couldn't figure out why "O/D OFF" light in dash was lit up. They never saw a exhaust brake before? So wanted to confirm no problems.
Then coming back home temp gauge around 140 got my attention.
