One of the main characteristics of tough units is the weight to length ratio. It would really help to know a bit more of your requirements for your trailer and tow vehicle, but if you think you are going to haul anything but a lightweight with your Silverado 1500 you have to reconsider.
You could consider a Bigfoot or an Escape in a fiberglass pod style, but again, you want a heavy duty haul vehicle and a trailer that matches that. Look at the weight of an Arctic Fox unit, or if you can find one, a Triple E unit like I have. Build tough and used in the Canadian Arctic weather reliably.
