What size electric tongue jack do I need?

I'm getting our TT a new electric tongue jack for the upcoming season. We have a Skyline Nomad Joey 260. The TT is about 4700lbs dry with a dry tongue weight of around 450lbs. Would we need a 3500lb model or a 2500lb or something smaller? As always... Thanks for your input...
  • Need to measure the hole the jack fits in to be sure you purchase the one with correct diameter.
Will need a fuse and holder if it doesn't come with one.
Electric jack was one of my first purchases!

  • We had a 3500 on our HTT and now same on our TT. BTW, if you do some shopping on ebay, you can usually get either a brand new or sometimes rebuilt - on our HTT with NO issues - for a very good price.
  • A 3500 will lift the tongue and rear of your truck just fine.
  • If you'd like to lift the back of the truck some to install the bars on the WDH, get a 3500lb or more. I have a 4500lb Husky and I've never used the prybar to attach the equalizer bars.
