I've got a 19" JVC HDTV with a built in DVD player that I bought from Sam's Club several years ago mounted on a swing out bracket so it can be viewed either from the bedroom area or from the sofa. About the only time we watch it is when the news and weather comes on before we go to bed and maybe during breakfast in the morning. If the weather outside is not cooperating with the plans we made for the day then we'll watch several movies that we bring along just for that reason.
