MN Ben,
We have a 12v, 19" on the rotating arm, so we can view from the bed or dinette. I believe the 19" is a good, practical size for periodic viewing. It's nice because you can watch tv, dvd's or stream the day's photos (shot during the daily adventures) through the set. Full-timers, or those that watch more television, may find a larger monitor better for extended viewing. For our family, the 19-inch works well.
Why do we enjoy having the tv? We really like to have our options open. Although we don't watch much tv while camping, sometimes we make an event of it during a trip. One night might be for quiet star gazing, the next a campfire and the next could be popcorn and movie night.
Variety is the spice of life.
