Thanks-kinda of an evolving thing but it works.
As to the 'brick', we use ours on the inverter. Ive been hesitant to cut brick off, not knowing if it did anything else besides convert 110 to 12v. Was thinking possible 14.4+ volts if on shore-gen or solar might have some affect on TV without the brick (does it regulate or limit voltage?) Ive never checked the output.
The idea to run an alternate 12v direct plug is a good one, hadnt though of that. We only watch at night so no charge source but if on shore or other charge source (or inverter) could still use the brick.
