It is not the size of the trailer when considering a generator, it is the anticipated electrical load. A 35 foot trailer where you only want to charge the batteries with the generator can successfully use a 1000 watt generator, where an 18 foot trailer where you want to run the A/C, microwave, and electric water heater at the same time will require a 6000 watt generator!
