What socket size is it?

If you know what adjustment you need to make, just take the hitch off of your vehicle or take the vehicle to a local garage and ask them to make the adjustment for you. May cost a few bucks but you are probably going to need "AIR" to loosen and then retorque the bolts.

What you are going to need is a REALLY LARGE LEVER .
A torque wrench often is long .
I have a couple of long socket handles .
I suspect many trailer trash have a long one also .
The standard length socket handle is to short .

I took mine in and used the stores wrenches to make the adjustment.

Even some of the bigger auto supply will do this or have one of their people go out and look, or you can do what another said measure from flat to opposite flat of bolt/nut with a tape/rule.

Napa has large sockets. Harbor freight has a 3 piece set of combination wrenches. Fairly reasonable in price.

I think that's probably right but as I recall on my Equalizer they're 1-1/16".

With all these numbers floating around it shows it could be one of many sizes.

Either measure for the size you need or buy a complete set of larger sockets.

We carry a full set of sockets in the TT, younger know when you might need them.

Suppose you could take a ruler and measure across the nut. That is what I do for large sizes. Those wrenches can get expensive. Even sockets that size. Do you have a 1" drive handle?

Harbor Freight has what you need. Just buy a set of large wrenches and sockets. They are perfect for the occasional use.
