They are oversized, awkward, and not drive through or parking friendly. There are a myriad of good clip on's I would suggest before those.

Somewhat predictable on this site to have a 3/4 suggested lol. WOW. Not a good read of what the OP has in mind with an Rpod.
Pretty much any F150 will work for what the OP has in mind and much more. For example, a plane jane 5.0 4x4 with tow package is good for over 8K lbs. LOTS of room for an upgrade or 2. The only thing to watch is the 2.7Eco models usually only have around 1600# payload.
