What Truck to buy?

Hey everyone,

First time truck camper purchase - 8' Skamper pop-up. Looking to purchase a used truck for my possible cross-county trip. Most are saying I should be looking at a heavy duty truck like the F250 or GMC 2500, rather then the light duty (150's and 1500). Could use some guidance here.

    Get at least a 2500/250 series truck and consider 3500 . It will be too easy to overload a 150 very soon. So many advantages from floating axles, larger brakes, springs, wheels etc.

    Can a 150 be done, yes in limited cases but if you are buying the truck, do yourself a favor and step up the more heavy duty vehicle.
