I agree that some designs take some getting used to and can mature to a look that becomes very attractive... But on the other hand you can polish a turd all day long, but at the end of the day your still left holding a turd.

The comments that I've been reading on the net (Including RAM forums) about RAM's latest update for the '16 has been from a overwhelming disappointment to a hatred for loosing the RAM signature cross hair grill. Will the loyal RAM diehards put the blindfolds on and still purchase these trucks? Time will tell if it's a turd or becomes very attractive to buyers!

Per Ram they referred to them as nostrils.

Not a fan of the grill or tail gate. I'll keep my 2014 laramie 3500 with every option:)

I agree that the grille isn't my favorite. It is almost ugly enough to go on a Ford.

And as far as who it is for, luxury sells, and it is very profitable. I read in MotorTrend recently that luxury vehicles may only represent 12% of vehicle sales, but it is something like 50% of profits.

There is a reason that all the manufactures are introducing more luxury trim levels.

I don't care for the grille, but everyone has luxury trucks now. I saw a 2015 F150 at the Houston Auto Show with an MSRP of $62,000. There apparently is a market for them. I prefer the basic models, but that's just me.

So true, heck the base Tradesman has more features than my 2009 Big Horn had.

How things have changed! Those who think a Laramie is just a basic truck should think back a few years.

That grille is terrible. The tailgate isn't as bad. With the additional width, it would probably look pretty good on a dually. Probably would've worked better as a stamped tailgate instead of that billboard badge.
