Some similarities...
I have been trying to leave Florida for the last 10 years to no avail. I have resigned myself to staying here. I have 4 daughters who live locally and have given us great grandkids and that makes it all worth it.
I have the house of my dreams, mounted to the back of my Dodge Dually 4x4 that I can position anywhere. The Mrs. and I enjoy backpacking but don't know how much longer I can do it because of back issues. The Dual Sport motorcycle we mount to the TC is our transportation once we get where we are going. We have a dog named Bear that is a great companion.
The Mrs. and I thoroughly enjoyed your Not-Trip report-trip report this morning over breakfast. You and Mrs. Whazoo are a Truck Camping, Picture Taking, Off the Beaten Path, Adventure Taking inspiration. We would love to see more of your not trip reports in the future and would love it even more to run into you guys one day.
