I don't think that the Oil Life Monitor means a thing. Mine goes down 1% per 1k miles. Doesn't matter what kind of driving, towing, off roading, winter or summer. The owners manual states that you should never exceed 7500 miles regardless of the OLM reading. I usually do it around 5 or 6 thousand.
