Follow the OLM. Depending on driving, I have ranged from 5000 to 8000 miles between 100% and 0%. The 8000 miles was during warmer weather, and 5000 miles was during colder and towing.
On my Acadia that I got in October, it got to 0% December 29 with 7221 miles. I was to 4% yesterday with an additional 6996 miles. It was convenient to get changed yesterday, so I did. Soccer season is in full force next week, so not much time to stop at dealer.
X2, and personally, I would not change the oil yet even if towing. The wife has a new Traverse and like all GMs, there is no oil change "interval" anymore based on mileage. We go by the oil life reminder on the dash, which usually works out to about 5-6,000 miles. You can change it if you want, but it is not necessary yet IMO.
