Nope. A diesel is a completely different animal than gas! After a diesel oil change the oil is almost black after a week. Not so much with the newer ones however. But still dirty oil is dirty oil!
My 2001 7.3L oil doesn't get black I'm due for a change now and it looks almost the same color as when it went in. I change it every 5-6k.
