"For me; I've PAID for the truck already. I'm putting it to dual use. The camper is free from DMV and insurance, being already covered by the truck. The ability to drive freeway speeds is also a great value. Stealth, ability to maneuver, etc. all things a dealer won't tell you if they don't carry campers."
For those of us who didn't have a suitable truck for camping, the price goes up, HD trucks are not inexpensive, I saw an article about the entry level corvette indicating it would be less than most of the one ton trucks I find on Internet search of dealers lots!
Some people have to make do with what they have.
