Where to plug in trailer lights on a Lance 1181?

Hello,

We picked up a 2005 Lance 1181 in excellent shape last week and are getting it dialed in for our use. We'd like to tow our drift boat with it on the truck but I can't seem to find where to plug the boat trailer lights into the camper?

The camper itself is plugged into the truck of course. On my previous camper there was a "pass-through" on it that allowed you to plug the boat trailer into the camper. The Lance 1181 doesn't seem to have anything like this. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Ben

  • Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

805gregg, I'm not sure that I have a drivers side truck bed receptacle, can you elaborate?

    I'll check out etailer.com too.
  • Get the Lance plug that goes in the drivers side truck bed, then use your back 7 pin for the trailer

Check out ETRAILER.COM... They will have all you will need to make up a pig tail...

  • You may want to check out Lance Owners of America. it is a very active forum on Lance Campers, Trailers that you may find interesting. There are many discussions on upgrades, mods, etc.
  • You'll have to make a pigtail that will allow you to plug both into the same socket or add a socket for the boat plug. I've also seen some factory made for sale.

The following link has one you could add to your truck harness to adapt the boat wiring. It's for an older model but you can get them for most any truck.
