What year Ram were you looking at? Payload sticker didn't appear until 2006.
IMO its a worthless number any way as its based on a GVWR payload which can cause a overload condition on certain configured trucks RAWR/tire load numbers
Legally the truck makers are required to placard the truck with the tire placard but it isn't used for any "legal weight carrying capacity" nor does road side enforcement use it.
