I've owned or been around all of the big 3 diesel pickups and IMO, Dodges or Rams are the easiest for most repairs, by a long shot. Biggest issue I got with my 07 Dodge is the )&,!::$ serpentine belt!
I'm pretty handy with a wrench and thought about burning the truck down before I got a new belt back on it!
On the up side, I did injectors on the Cummins with basic hand tools, first time tearing into one in about 6? Hours. I spent all day about 10 hrs but also adjusted the valves while I had the lid off and installed an aftermarket fuel filter setup.
