Yep!!!! I don't understand why people call it modular engine. :? There is nothing modular about the 5.4 engine. I looked up Wikipedia, they called it modular because it takes factories two or so hours to retool the robots to make different engine. The term modular really applies to the factory, robots, etc, not the engine itself. :h
It's just the Modular family of motors Ford had back in the 90's to early 2000's. It was all the craze lol...these new fangled OHC mod motors from Ford...read on message boards back then how they would never stand up to towing. Etc etc etc.. Many of the sales people at the time touted the new Triton 'Modular' motor.
Good luck on your next purchase...my 5.4 and V10 were my two favorite gas towing motors I have owned, but they are slugs compared to today's gassers and diesels.
